I check Craigslist every day. I search fabric, quilting, sewing in the Arts & Crafts and General. Plus I have to look in the "free" to see what people are giving away.
My very first ad that I answered was selling a lot of "fabric" and "notions" for $150. I got there and the lady had 5 HUGE boxes of fabric, several boxes of notions. I offered her $120 and got the whole deal. Oh, and the best part. She "threw in" a Kenmore sewing machine that didn't have a foot (yes it did, it was in the little door under the bobbin) and a brand new Serger. Seems her mother-in-law had been a sewer and when she passed, they just wanted to get rid of everything. JACKPOT!!
