Do you have access to a garage where you can set it up? And maybe have your "mechanic" working on his car while they look? With a big wrench in his hand? Whatever you do. don't be alone or let them in your house. Sorry, it's a sign of the times nowadays.

i sold my first quilting machine (too small) and a hi-riser sofa on craigslist. my husband was home both times and he's B-I-G. but if you're nervous, have someone over who has a large, barking dog and say it's yours.

My husband always comes with me when I buy stuff. When we sell stuff he deals with it but I am surprised by the ladies that come on their own. Also many people will meet us on parking lots etc. and my husband also sells stuff from work.

I sold my quilting machine on Craigslist. My husband was home with me when they came, and they were very nice people. They had a lot of quilts tops already made and were just looking for the right machine to quilt them.
We also sold a wood splitter on Craigslist, and the men who bougt it were very nice too.
