    I don't carve pumpkins anymore but I always buy one each year to cut up, bake in a pan with water in it until tender then make pie's. There is no better pumpkin pie than one made with fresh pumpkin! I freeze the rest and when I bake those pies later they are still better than canned pumpkin.
