I bought two very big, full, beautiful deep red poinsettia plants and had them on the front porch. I didn't think to bring them in the house and we had a freezing temp last nignt. I brought them in this morning but the flower petals and leaves are stiff with cold.    I'm not good with plants no matter how hard I try.

If they are on a covered porch, they may make it. It was 27 here last night and mine survived.

Bellaboo- My cat, Mabel, eats all my plants so I don't have many anymore. I can't buy poinsettias b/c of all I've heard about them being poisonous to cats. I miss them! But I love my furbabies more :D

I just heard on tv that poinsettas are not poisonous....it is an urban legend that somehow got started and got around. Google it and see if it's true. Oh and I think they said that the Poison Center did the research. Something like that.

Really?? That would be nice to know. I'll check it out. They are so festive but I'm afraid she'd think so too and eat them lol
She reminds me of a cow grazing :D

Renee, thank you! I found many sites that said they are not poisonous to pets.
