No DST in 2011
when is ours?? I couldn't find it and know it's coming soon.
The start and end times have changed as noted above. There does not seem to be a single study that exchanging an hour of daylight in the morning for an hour of daylight in the evening and vice versa makes an appreciable difference in energy consumption. However, it does make a difference to the restaurant and entertainment sectors of the economy, although I have not always been able to follow what I consider their somewhat convoluted arguments in favor of the change. Write your United States Senators and United States Representative. Your state legislature can exempt your state, but think what a mess that would be for your state to be on one time and the rest of the country to be on another. It's hard enough to remember the time zones across the naton! froggyintexas

I really wish they would put a stop to DST. I see no point in it. Our dogs have a really hard time adjusting. No kids now, all grown and out on their own but I know they don't like it either.

I don't care WHICH one they use -- just DON'T CHANGE IT!!!! It's so crazy and stupid in my book!!!

I was told it was because they could have more "daylight" time for businesses.......but that's a dumb reason as far as I'm concerned. Whether they have an hour more in the morning or an hour more at night...you STILL have the same # of daylight hours!!!! If a business wants more hours of daylight, let them change their opening/closing hours.!

Once again we see the government helping its citizens by imposing more artificial time on us. Oops! It isn't for the citizens it is for the retailers. The longer it is light, the more customers.

There ya go, I'm with her. Pick one or the other, don't give a hoot which, just settle on one and have done with this nonsense.

DST has no relevance anymore. It should be killed altogether, IMO. All in favor, say "Aye!"
