Here in Wisconsin, we've had a little heat, but nothing to be concerned about. It gets to about 82 on the hot days, but most of the time this spring I've needed a sweater at some time during the day. We keep our thermostat at 70 day and night all winter, but now our heat is set at 70 (Sometimes it runs in July and August) and the AC at 76. It has been working a few times this spring, but not much. Two years ago our bill for the Geo Thermal Furnace was $1.27 for month of August. And that may have been for heat.
We have a large, very old farm house; well insulated with trees around the east, south and west sides. They help tremendously. Also I open windows at night and close them in the morning. I have solar curtains for the east door, which is not covered by those trees. Those curtains look like tin foil, but are plastic and reflect heat from the shiny side. They made a tremendous difference in the heat in our living room before the trees grew large enough to do the job.

I am in Tucson and the heat is wearing. I just go out early and stay in the AC. It has been the hottest here in 20 years
