Yesterday's weight was down a pound so I have I gained a total of 4 pounds since Thanksgiving. At least I'm back under 150. My goal for the month is to lose those four pounds. For me, it's not the dinner, it's the leftovers. If a holiday dinner is away from home, I don't gain. If it's here, I do. Christmas is always here. Yikes!

On a quilting note, the border for the wildlife quilt is Flying Geese. Do you prefer the geese to go all the way to corner or to have cornerstones? I need some input. It's a busy quilt and the cornerstones might make it busier but at this point, it wouldn't make much difference. It's the blue and gold block that is throwing it off, but those were my son's high school colors.

Speaking of blue and gold, I am attending a BB game today. A GS made the 7th grade team and his mother has to work. His father works evenings, too, so I'm on. They both took Monday off for an away game, but neither could get today off. Bleachers are difficult with my fused ankles, but the little brother can be my railing.

It was so gorgeous out yesterday. The dogs and I arrived at the lake just as the sun set. The sun was down, but the sky was all colors as was the reflection on the surface of the water. So lovely. Today is dreary, but that's normal for early December. Living East of Lake Michigan, we have more cloud cover than usual until the big lake freezes. I may have to find something to knit so I can sit still under my sunlamp. I want to make a scarf for a new GDIL. She is Chinese and came to Michigan as an art student. My GS was her language instructor. I have some silky ribbon 'yarn' that should work for her.

I am losing weight and getting healthier. We are all losing weight and getting healthier.

I'm in for December, I gained steadily for the last week of November. I don't regret a single bite, I don't want to live in a world where I can't enjoy my birthday or any other holiday. But, now that those are done I need to get to work on all this poundage. Another holiday is looming.

Sounds like everyone has their plans made to lose in Dec.Good luck to all. I seem to v e r y slowly lose a pd or 2 every
3wks or so.Sure can't help anyone with wt loss, when my record is pitiful.
Can't join in Jan, as we're about to leave for Fl where younger DD lives. As usual, there will be lots of comings & goings.
Will be happy to maintain in Dec.Not happy happy, but can live with it.

I weighed in at 155 this morning -- I have a horrible cold with headache that upsets my stomach. Maybe this is a good thing --NOT worth it. Like a migraine. I can't even get up to eat never ming go to the gym. I cancelled out of a family gathering on Sat. Ed will go to play in the national bridge tournament on Sat and Sun He is so sweet -- he cancelled out the Wed, Thurs and Fri sessions because I felt so bad. This is like the Olympics of bridge.I hope everyone is going to doo better this month

Congratulations to MJ for a great loss. That's remarkable when you can't exercise. Congratulations, too, to susan, our winner. Was this the blue/white month? Please post so we can find your avatar and name to make it easy to pm you for your snail mail address.

Welcome back to all returnees and a warm welcome to new members. Please post as often as you can. We need each other if we are going to be successful this month.

December 1st already. I should be feel like the countdown is on, but so far I feeling pretty relaxed. We northerners are so attuned to snow this time of year, if there's no snow, it doesn't seem like Christmas. It's snowing now but we didn't get the snow southern Michigan did yesterday. That seems backwards, but because I have to shovel my own, it's okay with me. 8 inches of the light stuff is okay, but 8 inches of the wet, heavy stuff isn't doable.

I am losing weight and getting healthier.

I just checked. Nov was blue and white for winter, plus red for the fire in our fireplaces.
