No real trees for me, they cause asthma problems.
We have a 3' artificial tree that we put on a table where its
safe from large happy dog tails. All the ornaments are homemade, some of them are quilt blocks. I put lights all over and try to decorate the whole tree(otherwise it falls).
Years ago we had lots of glass ball ornaments, then the big, happy pointer/dalmation mix wagged them off about 1/2 way up the tree. We'd only had small dogs and little dogs don't have big long tails that wreak havoc.

I decorate the tree all the way around also! Probably won't decorate at all this year...the grandchildren are not coming this year. Last year every room in the house including the bathrooms were decorated. I put up 7 trees inside and out...it was fun, but a lot of work.

When I put up my 7foot artificial tree I leave off 2 or 3 limbs in back on the bottom 2 rows. That lets it sit closer to the wall. I put 10 or 12 strings of lights on the tree then turn loose the grandkids with the ornaments. They have fun and I get to set back and enjoy them. It was more fun a few years ago when they were all small.

Haven't even started yet decorating. Have to get pkgs. sent out West and wrap ones for here. Then do baking and drag all Xmas. stuff out. I do decorate the back, as its in front of our bay window facing the street. Time is going too fast.

Am I the only one who is amazed that someone's "boyfriend" "WONT LET HER PUT UP A TREE"??? Time to kick him to the curb. An adult can decide if they want a tree and doesnt need anyone's permission to put it up. Geeez I find this amazing. Makes me feel sick

I have 3 trees inside and more outside that I decorate. I didn't do as many lights outside and people commented. I usually end up doing decorations all around the tree because I have so many ornaments and some of the trees can be seen all around. I love Christmas decorating, I know at least one of my sisters and one of my brothers also like to decorate. I like it for myself. I love to have the Christmas lights on and the other lights off. If I decorate the bah humbugs can look at mine and say who would want to put up those lights? Happy Holidays.

well he just thinks Christmas is nothing but commercialism now and that the majority of people only celebrate the "Santa and Gifts" instead of the birth of Christ, so he won't decorate out of protest I guess, she does buy a rosemary "tree" and I made her a tiny angel for it and she puts lights on it but it stays outside.
