Second one seems to go with trim on couch and has a more soothing look. Second is my choice. Take care.

This cracks me up April! Personally I like the blue... I find blue calming and the room is devoid of color. When you add the second it is just all one color... Looking at the blue, I think you are making pillows, could maybe add a touch of both... I do like the blue. :) have fun in YOUR room :) :)

Ok, I haven't read all the replies to this post but I'm gonna answer anyway. I don't think there is anything "wrong" with either of the fabrics that you've chosen but what I am seeing is that it is too much of a novelty print and way more theme-y than what you are maybe looking for???

You might want to check out the Sunbrella fabrics at Joann's and see if you can find something that holds the beach-y feel without being kitschy. Then wait until they have a 50% off sale before buying. They carry literally hundreds of prints now.

Here is a design website just for getting that beach-y feel in your home, I hope it gives you some inspiration that will lead you where you want to be. They also have fabrics! Check out the links on the site for lots of beach-y inspiration pics. Best wishes with your new decor!

If you like blue then go with blues like in your painting on the wall behind the couch. Or co-ordinate its blue with the fabric by adding other blues in the room to blend.
If you want other colors such as pinks, yellows etc. then go with the white and add many colors elsewhere.
