DGD birthday is in a couple weeks. All she wanted was a dog. She lives with me and we lost our wonderful dog a number of months ago. I really wasn't sure I wanted another one yet, but she wore me down. I'm glad we got him though. He is a miniature long haired dachshund. Three pounds of loving and energy. She named him Pickles.

THe things we do for grandkids!! I did the same for my GD 5th birthday, went to pick up hers and came home with another one for me! Bought my daughter for Xmas, and now I do a lot of dog-sitting because she works! Where was my brain??!!

One great thing about Dachshunds.............they last a long time. My second made it to almost 16.
