Default DH's form of quilting in wood!

My DH has been sew supportive of my fabric stashing and gathering of vintage sewing machines. He has been making furniture for a few years but about a year ago got interested in making bowls. From there his interest expanded to making segmented wood bowls.

Whenever we travel, we shop ahead for wood stores, quilt shops and sewing machines on craigslist all along the route we are traveling. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoy each other's craft. Here are a few of his latest bowls. He has learned all of this by picking up instructions via youtube.com. Where would any of us be without the internet?

Now, let's see if I can load these photos. LOL

The different colors of wood are from a variety of woods. The finish is clear coat.
