Oh, Oh, I used to have that almost exact wooden couch. it came with a regular chair and a rocker chair. It's still in my parents sunroom with stuff stacked on top of it. We are settling their estate this summer!! The fabric is a denim and plaid Herculon, I'm pretty sure...can't kill it!! LOL What a neat idea about recovering the cushions. I think some of the current Retro fabric would be adorable!

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. Hoping now that the several coats of Scotchguard Mandy sprayed on everything will keep it bright for a long time to come.
Their love of the bright colors definitely is a Mediterranean flair - the art college was full of bright murals, painted stucco walls, colorful statues all over the grounds. Mandy is putting together pics she took of hundreds of brightly painted doors to homes from all over the island of Cyprus - collage & individual pics - has a few buyers already for some of them. The pics remind me of ones I see of Greece - very much the same influence.
I'll put up a pic once the rest of the living room is finished.
And hope to have actual quilting projects to post from Mandy someday as well - after all, its still art, right?
