Yes, the couch is classic & has been around since the mid 70's. The oak frame is still fine, just needed to update the colors.
When she gets more sewing done, I'll post pictures. This has been fun; I'm blessed with a spunky, fun DIL - love her dearly. Her wedding season begins this weekend, so I'm not sure when we'll get back to more projects. She has about 15 weddings booked for the summer, & that means photoshopping at least 1000 to 2000 pics per wedding, plus she does photo shoots for a clothing designer (uses our horses for 'props' sometimes) and portraits too. She & our son are paying back college loans, so she is blessed to have work when many are unemployed nationwide.

Oh I love that pretty fabric.

I'm hoping (but never would 'rag' on her about it) one thing we'll be able to make with leftover fabric is a baby quilt someday. They hint around about having kids, but not in any hurry. I told Mandy if we use the fabric scraps from the couch & cushions for a baby quilt, she could lose the baby in the pattern. :)

Jan - Wonderful job. Don't think I would have tackled this as a newbie! She is very brave. Can't decide what is better - couch restored and useful again at low cost or quality time spent with great DIL and teaching someone to sew.
Priceless - thanks for passing on the love of sewing to the next generation.
    Hugs - MOMIMI
