That is horrible. I know here you have to show your ID and sign for Sudafed. I would worry if they have access to your ID what they will do next.

I would ask for their corporate offices number if the store itself won't let you talk to their general manager.
It sounds like someone else has gained access to your driver's license. OR a store employee is hijacking it to make the purchases...either themselves or letting someone else use it, that happened out here.

Crazy mix up happens way more often then anyone realizes until it happens to them. Any number of careless record keeping even a transposed number can cause money woes and stress to an innocent person. And it's the innocent person that is the victim, no one wants to believe or take the time to find out what's wrong. It's easier to dismiss the problem. Don't give up, make a pest of yourself until you find out why. Make a police report and keep on insisting you want answers, not later but now.

When I have bought such items you have to show your drivers licence & sign a log or one of those key pads. Somebody is keeping this information.

All this info is good. You have to be persistant and on top of it. Contacting the DEA is probably a wise move. The police will tell you that unless they catch teh perp in the act, they can't do much.
    Good luck.

I agree with everyone's remark and think it's in your best interst to pursue this with the police.

When you buy sudafed, you have to show an ID and sign for it.(here in California anyway, I don't know if that is a federal law)

I hate that you are having to go through this but it sounds like someone on the inside has your info and are using it to buy the Sudafed.

I remember when Walgreens threw away all of the prescription records in the dumpsters at their stores and folks had their ID's stolen from them doing it. That was a huge mess several years back.

I miss the days when you could buy cases of the stuff at Sams or buy a huge quantity when it was on sale and have enough for the next year or so. My medicine cabinet has always been very well stocked with having kiddos running around when they were growing up.

But thanks to these crackheads and dopers we have to deal with crap like this.

How I long for 1951.......

I went to a local Rite-Aid for cold medicine the other day (not sudafed or anything like that, just the store brand equivalent to day-quil) and they asked me for my whole birthdate. Not just the year to make sure that I am over 17, when I refused to give it to them, the poor clerk didn't know what to do. I told her that there was no reason to get the whole date. I buy similar cold meds all the time and have never been asked that.

here in ky if you purchase sudafed at one store then try to go to another store and purchase more, they won't let you because it all goes in to a data base that every store can see. So the person using your name may not have made the purchase at your store.
