About 0430 this morning, Ditter was attacked by a bear. I didn't see the bear myself but I dang sure heard the results.

I know married couples should share their dreams and work together to make them come true but should this include nightmares? (Maybe nightbears?)

To make a long story short, Ditter (Sharon) jerked awake screaming "NO, get away!" The bear was chewing on her foot and her foot was mere inches from my feet. Oh yeah, I jerked awake too and my heart rate peaked at about 400 beats per second!

I sat up in bed and, even with the night light on in the bathroom, I didn't see the bear. Of course we all know bears are sneaky and fast too so it coulda' got away real quick.

I rolled over and wrapped my arms around her while our hearts slowed down then she got up and went to the bathroom, I suppose to dress the puncture wounds in her foot. There were no puncture wounds in her foot so I gotta assume there was no bear or it was a real old one with no teeth.

When she came back to bed, I laughed some and I am gonna end this tale right here.

Poor Ditter. I'm glad the bear had no teeth and you were there to protect her!
