Way cool! My thimbles are packed away in a storage unit right now, waiting for me to get a place of my own again. Last time I counted, there were over 75 of them - everything from coal ranges and sewing machines to player pianos!

I have a small thimble collection (about seven). I have my buttons color coordinated in jars in a row in my craft room. I make magnets and button flowers out of some of them. My friend Teri and I get together and work on these projects. Its so much fun! I alsomade my myself a button bowl with a scoop. I found a wooden bowl, painted it black , sanded it stained it and there you have it. Teri found the small wooden scoop at a thrift shop and I made that look rustic also. I filled it with buttons and it looks great!

I have a large chest of drawers full of buttons. Some are very old and probably worth something. I probably have over a 1000 old wood spools and I collect thimbles. My DM gives me thimbles as gifts quite often, but not just one a time, so they add up quickly. I'd like to have all the state ones, I have some, but not quite all of them.

Yes, I collect buttons and wood spools.
all the buttons are all in one jar, I like the idea of sorting by color...

Yes, I collect buttons and belong to a Button Club. They learn and do all kinds of things with buttons. There are clubs in different towns and state and national meetings. Check into it.
