I have a light purple kitchen. what inspired me was cornells pansy dishes. I also have a purple bedroom but it is so purple almost black. Husband picked it out because when he was home from trucking he slept during the day.
I also have a peach colored (sort of) living room and a orange bedroom (daughter picked out)

I don't but my friend bought a house that had too much purple: floors, ceilings, bathroom vanities, window frames, curtains, rugs. She bought the house in the late fall and worked hard all winter to eradicate the purple. When she thought she was finished, spring came, and you guessed it, all the flowers in the yard came up purple!

My sun room has shades of purple... It started out a deep plum paint mixed w/a soft grey. First I put random spots of the plum & grey then patted/blended them together using sheep skin... Came out great :)

I don't, but SIL does! It is her favorite color, and the color of her sofa and some painted wood furniture!

My master bathroom is a light purple and I love it. I have it done in kind of a Moroccan theme.

Actually, I do. Not a lot, but my guest bedroom has purple bed ruffle, curtains and pillows. I'm making a purple quilted wall hanging to put over the bed...

photo makes the purple look brown, but it is indeed purple!
