I use them to anchor flower arrangements in the cemetery--just cut the right length and put over flowers and into the groung. My arrangements never blow away like others do. When I had a Girl Scout troop we used the wire hangers to make wreaths (great because you even have a hook after you round the large part.) My mother crochets around them and gives them away and to our hospital's thrift shop. Can't think of any more uses right now (give me awhile LOL.)

I take my extra hangers to a dry cleaner. They seem happy to get them.

I have trouble finding wire hangers now-a-days. I put 2 of them together and use rug yarn(cheap)and wrap around the hangers....I would have to explain how. It is similar to the crocheted hangers but you don't have to know how to crochet. The hangers are wonderful for blouses/shirts so that they don't slip off at the shoulders and they don't leave those "bumps" at the shoulders either. My children used to make these also when they were younger....easy and great to have around.

I use the thin velvet covered hangers . They are the best as for as hangers can be the best. They hold the heaviest coats and nothing falls off the hangers, not even spaghetti straps. My problem is if anyone ever uses one of my hangers I never get it back! LOL

The service that we get our guys uniforms from takes them back and charges us for them if they're not returned. I didn't know that for a long time.

Have you seen those tabletop christmas trees made of wire hangers with their hooks in the center, standing on point in a circle and covered with a spiral of rope tinsel?
Lights can be twisted along the rope tinsel if you wish.
They make pretty glittery trees and use a lot of hangers.
