I love Stargazer Lilies. They are pretty and smell oh so good. Have a couple in my garden. Hope they come back this spring.

gerbera daisies, lilacs and lupins. I am lucky enough to have 3 lilac bushes right outside my bedroom window and love the smell as they bloom!

I love daylilies! Iris is my favorite for beauty but you can't beat daylilies for variety & hardiness. At our mountain house my neighbor had 2 clumps of daylilies that someone had given her & she didn't have time to plant them before having to head back to her home in Tampa. She just placed them on the bank by our lower drive where its just natural vegetation & it didn't bother them. They were thriving when she came back a month later so she just left them there. Now we both enjoy them

I'd say that if you can put them outdoors in the pot and they live, then they can be put in the ground. Just remember, the soil can freeze again at this time of year. Personally, if you don't have cats who love potted plants, I'd wait till the oak leaves get as big as a squirrel's paw. If I remember correctly, that's when Grandma used to plant corn, which is cold sensitive.

I haven't met a flower I did not like. Actually like a few weeds too. My favorite would have to be a rose.

Your Irises should spread. I didn't have any Irises, but the lady next door did right along the fence. She moved and the new people dug up the whole yard. Guess what? The Irises migrated to my yard and have spread. I have a great Irises bed now.

Irises and new Azaleas DH planted - Rose of Sharon tree in corner.

I love all the flowers in my garden - tulips, lilys, daffs, crocus. I also love carnations. The smell reminds me off spring, Easter, Mother's Day. Childhood memories.
