    poppies, daisies, Manarda, nasturtiums, calendula...I LOVE them all...and if they are perrennial..all the better!

    I love roses, but in the garden I also love my day lilies, adding more each year. The deer love them too.

    I have a kinda rare Canna, probably the ancestor of the present day Cleopatra. Mine has purple stripes on the leaves, huge blossoms that can be all red, all yellow with tiny red spots, or all red with one single yellow petal, or all yellow with one red petal or one half each color. If the plant is less th an waist high the flowers are more inclined to be all red with leaves all purple.
    I can't wait till I go out in the full heat of summer to see what opened up that night.
