"The only thing you have to be careful about is anesthetic should they ever require surgery. Because they are a sight hound, they have to have a special anesthetic. I lost my first one because the vet used the wrong anesthetic to neuter him and I had to put the dog down."
I didn't know that, shadow dancer..that is how i lost my rotty, she blew her knee out, and had to have surgery..she was only 7. i had to put her down also. she had a reaction to the anesthetic, within a day or so, her kidneys, liver, everything started shutting down. we ran her out to the michigan state animal hospital, and there was nothing they could do to help her..i was sick over it.

Too cute! I bet he doesn't realize he is that big. Mikey (the bigger one)has his moments where he absolutely must be near dad and he will squeeze in between us and lay half on top of dad. I love my snuggle buddies!!!

Our oldest Jack Russell exscaped the fence today. He does that about once a year. Sowing his wild oats I guess. Problem is his collar and tags are here in the yard. DH is getting signs ready to put out. We've already driven around looking for him. He didn't plan this very well, bc it's supposed to be really cold tonight and he has a very warm comfy dog house he shares with another Jack Russell.
