I have a hand held and an upright. Love them both. The hand held is great. Love it for my vinyl window sills after a dirty winter. Have found lots of other uses like the brick floor under the wood stove. Wow did it shine afterward. The one for floors I use on the ceramic tile kitchen and baths and laminate in the other part of house. Great invention in my book.

I know they work on regular laminate floors. The nice thing is that no water sits on the surface. It evaporates immediately, so yes, it is rated for use on wood and laminate floors.

I have a shark and I really like it. I am glad that no one is around when I steam the floors--I thought I was a pretty good house keeper but when I see the pad when I am done useing it I wonder.

Bonnie--I've used Clean Shower for several years. It's great.

Does that really work? I used the Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner thing and it didn't work at all.

We have the Bissell steam mop and DH actually uses it regularly. That is so strange because he has used our upright vacuum two times in the last ten years.

Steam does not remove the built up mineral deposits from the porcelain enamel tub. We tried a handheld steamer and were not successful. Please read directions carefully because there might be specific type of water to use in tank. Ours uses distilled water only.

Love the appliance....especially now that we have a puppy:-)

I have a shark that I just got about a month ago and love it. I just tried it in my bath shower and it worked really well.

I have had the Bissell steam mop for about 2 years. I love it! It works great on wood floors, tile floors and vinyl floors. My DH thinks it doesn't clean well enough without cleaner, so I put put a small amt of cleaner in a spray bottle with water and I spray the floors before I steam clean. Just enough so he can smell the clean smell, just not worth the hassle of arguing about it. Next up, a handheld.

I love my Shark Steam mop! Mine came with a purple polishing head, it helps if you see streaks. My 11 yr old son loves to 'help' me mop now! I love that!
