[quote=Ditter43]I bought a steam mop about a week ago and used it today for the first time.
I bought a super dooper one years ago it looks like a vaccuum cleaner it came with lots of attachments. but I can't vaccuum so I can't use it on the floors but it came with an iron and also cleaning wands that do just about everything and they are great, it is just that I can't do the floors with it or I end up in bed in agony for days, I bought a smaller one a H20 and that isn't so hard on me but I only use it occasionaly as it leaves the wooden floors to wet, oh dear I can't win can I

Just recently purchased a Shark and I love it. Like Ditter the first time i used it I didnt think much of it but now that I have all the old grime off the floors I love it. I do use mine on hardwood floors and it works fine.

I inherited 2 of them....long story. My DSisIL recently moved back to this area and purchased an old house from an even older lady. The house needed spruced up before she moved in. I brought over that machine after she pulled out the old linoleum and rugs and I used it to clean the wood floors that were underneath, thinking that we would have to refinish them when we were done. That machine stripped off centuries of crud and old wax off those floor to reveal the hardwood floors. After a light sanding and a fresh coat of the stuff you cover wood with (I can't remember what we used)she has The most beautiful floors. I am hooked on using it now. It works particularly well on greasy buildup in the kitchen and beats scrubbing any day without any harsh chemicals.
