I only had two, and when they bothered me long enough, I had them out. That was as a Freshman in College, that was 33 yrs ago. Husband had all 4, and had his taken out too. All three of our children had trouble with theirs, and had to have them out about the same age. They all had all 4.

I had mine removed when i was 25. Two of them were growing in crooked. The dentist told me that most have theirs out in High School before they start to get the leg parts of the tooth as they are more difficult to extract at that point.

If I had mine and they weren't a bother, i'd leave them too!

I had mine out when I was 18. I don't know what happened to them. Maybe my Moms still has them somewhere.
I do, however, have 2 of my brother's wisdom teeth. They came out in perfect condition. He took them to a jeweler, had them polished and had earring posts put in them. He gave them to me for Christmas one year! I wear them whenever I go to the dentist - he gets a real kick out of them. As you can imagine, my brother has quite an interesting sense of humor!!

If they have grown in straight, are not decayed, and not interfering with chewing, WHY? Am assuming there is not a medical concern in the way. I'd do some internet research.

I'm 77 and only lost one, I broke it somehow and it got infected.
I'm with most others, wondering why is this dentist trying to have him remove perfectly good teeth?
My youngest son has a much smaller tooth growing BEHIND and half way down one of his front teeth. Our long time dentist (since retired) ex-rayed it and then advised us not to do anything to it, since he could not determine if it did or didn't have roots of its own. Said to leave it alone until or if it gave him problems. I asked him about it last year and he had to check it out with tongue and finger, its still there and not bothering him at all.
Oldest daughter had an extra tooth erupt on top of one next to a wisdom tooth, that one had to come out but she still has all the others at age 50 plus.
