I go and look on Pinterst, I usually go to stumbleupon.com and hit the stumble button for so many different ideas.

Don't have time to Facebook. Twitter, Pinterest. Otherwise, I'd be on computer all day.

I personally don't use that site because when I went to sign up they wanted "permission" to access my address book and there was no way I was allowing that.
I agree! If you don't want anything shared with the world - DON'T POST IT!! Once it hits the web, it's like thing to un-say something. Besides, Pintrest isnt selling these things - its just a posting site of what people like!

Very good point! And we do it all the time. If quilt shows did not allow us to take photos of our favorite quilts, we would probably be upset. I almost always ask someone at the show first if it is OK to take photos. So as someone else said, privacy is not what it used to be. If it's on the web, it's out there for all to see .... and maybe even re-post somewhere else whether they give credit to the origin or not. I personally love Pinterest. I have a ton of recipes saved along with garden stuff and quilts and sewing and etc. I would say as others have, if you don't want "it" going out to the world, don't put it on the "world wide web". If people are going to rob from banks and stores and such, they certainly are going to hesitate to steal "stuff" from the web. Sad but true. We just need to be careful.

I'd rather channel my thoughts down happier avenues! Hugs and happy quilting!

I love Pinterest! No worries from me about getting in trouble. When I pin I do try to go to the person's blog and pin directly from there thus giving them the credit.

My friends and I play around with it, as a matter of fact Keepsake Quilting, Fons and Porter, and McCall's Quilting are on it, you can follow them or you can "Re-pin" to your own board. It says when you "Re-Pin" where it originates from. You basically create boards of things that you find interesting that you can share with your friends. More and more companies are using this as a marketing tool, just like saying go to FB and hit the "Like" button.

most without permission I am sure....this is why Pinterest is in hot water over copyright violations!

I subscribed to Pinterest for a short time. I found that they were using my name in an ad for some kind of diet food or system saying that I had used it and endorsed it. I immediately unsubscribed and will notgo anywhere near that site. Beware! Jenny
