So I would say take the amount recommended by your doctor, if you're doing this at the doctor's suggestion. If not, take the most conservative amount listed on the package directions and increase or decrease the dose to adjust it for your body's needs.
I take a B Complex supplement everyday because of my Fibromyalgia. It helps give me a bit more energy. But, since I had Weightloss surgery in 2008, I have to add B12 supplements and/or shots because the body doesn't retain the B vitamins as mentioned here. What can be scary, but it's harmless, is your urine will be bright yellow for a few hours.

I don't know if you can take too much b-12 sublingually, but I do know this:
If you overtake folic acid, and have blood tests, and your doctor is looking at your b-12 levels, you can have a false testing.
Folic acid masks a low b-12 count and THAT can be deadly.
B-12 is necessary in the right amounts for the nervous system.
I take injections twice a month for anemia, prescribed by my doctor.
You can also over do vitamin A, and iron.
I take vitamins, but I don't overdo ANY of them, unless told to by my physician. Just something for ppl to think about, cause mousie cares about you :XD:

Many people are low on B12 as they age. The shots are the best route for treatments as it is water soluble. The B complex pills will keep the insects from biting. They will land on you but not bite.
