My male boston Tigger has become a water hog. Every time I let them out and give them fresh water he decides he will drink some and then lay in it....anybody else have a dog that does this?

We used to have a retreiver/chow that loved the water. We finally had to buy him a small pool for drinking because he would play in his drinking dish.

That's funny because I was contemplating buying a small kiddie pool for their run!

Thank you-he is my buddy! He loves me to pieces and if I have to go away for work he stays in the bedroom and does not come out but to eat and go potty :-(

Awe he looks so cute. I wondered maybe if he was hot. But from what you say its just something he likes to do.

My three are so hot here they have crashed out on the marble floor, it was 100F = 40C here today. I crashed out too.

I have not determined if it is because he is hot or not. I am sure he is 100 degrees is insane!! I only let them out long enough to eat, drink, play in the water a bit, do their business and then come inside!

Too funny. Guess he likes cooling off that way. At least he won't get heat stroke.

Yes!! My Lhasa gets in the little wading pool. We have 4 dogs, 3 of them larger, and so we have the small pool for drinking. He gets all the way in and lays down when it's hot.
