Does anyone do embroidery by hand anymore?

I learned to hand embroider as a child and was very good at it. Back in the 60's I did a lot of original pieces for myself and for friends. I've recently started back at it and am really enjoying it. I've been following Pintangle.com and am thinking about doing a crazy quilt project.

In case anyone is interested- Bev McCullough at Flamingo Toes has some lovely embroidery designs. She's the designer of my quilt for my granddaughter called Singing in the Rain. I love everything she does.
I haven't done embroidery in a long time but I really enjoy it.

My mother taught me in the 50s and I produced a number of pillow cases and dresser scarves But after seeing the magnificence of the embroidery on the coat and dress Dr. Jill wore on Inaugural night, I wonder if a new generation may get interested in the craft -- and in learning how to produce heirloom work like on that coat. I am in awe of that work.
