I was showing my 7 yr old gd Rachel how I draw my flowers and bugs and this is her version of what i showed her. She doodles like I do with these types of drawings.

If you compare my bugs with hers you can see why she drew them the way she did.

Another hand embroidery person here. I learned counted cross stitch with waste canvas from my grandmother before I went to school, straight line in grade one and it has been and still is a part of my life. I have 3 different cross stitch on aida projects, several straight line embroidery projects and this winter and this winter added hand piecing to the fold. I believe it still alive and well. The machine embroidery holds no appeal for me.

This is a very beautiful quilt!! I love the detail you put into it! I like how you did the sashings.

Thank you for the closeups. I was wishing i could see it up close! They are just great!
I really like the one with the strip borders.

I made my daughter (years ago) a tooth fairy doll. It is a pillow case doll with a heart pocket that one side says tooth and the other says money. That is how I solved the "she sleeps too light" issue. It is all hand embroidered. Very pretty. If I could find it I would post a picture.
