This is the one you do in a coffee pot?
Is it any good? Dr wants me AWAY from coffee with caffeine. I thought I'd ask before I go buy it and not like it. Right now I'm drinking decaf tea. Pretty good.

Decaffeinated coffee doesn't have that much less caffeine then regular coffee. Try making regular coffee weaker each time. I heard caffeine withdrawal will give you headaches. There is a non coffee product called Postum that is actually a very good sub for coffee.

oh???? the caffiene makes me have heart flutters. since i quit drinking it, (yesterday) i haven't had the flutters.... weird....

Be careful of the chemicals in decaf coffee and tea.

Coffee can be decaffeinated using one of several methods. With direct process decaffeinating, solvents such as formaldehyde :shock: are used to absorb the caffeine from the coffee in order to remove it. Water decaffeinating uses water to remove the caffeine by soaking the beans prior to roasting. Since water method decaffeinating does not use any chemical additives, some people prefer coffee decaffeinated with this method although most of the flavor is removed using the water method. Many coffee suppliers use inferior grades of coffee for their decaf product, since they assume flavor will be lost anyway.

If you start to get headaches, just drink a cup of regular coffee for a few days, to help wean your system off of the caffeine. I drink folger's decaf often myself, I like it better than some of the other brands...

Oh, Postum is no longer being made by Kraft! I did find this and I ordered some to try out. Hubby and I drink probably too much coffee so this will be a good sub for half of our coffee in consumption.

I've been getting alot of heart flutters. Dr says try to lay off coffee. Been drinking Decaf tea. no flutters so thought I'd try the coffee. Do you drink Folgers?

I didn't care for the Folgers decaf myself and neither does my Dad. He has to drink decaf due to heart flutters as well. I started getting the beans and grinding them for him and he likes that much better.

I don't drink coffee at all, but Dh when he drinks decaf drinks the folgers or Tim Hortons. .

As a tea drinker, there are lots of options if you like tea, herbal has no caffine ( I have only found one that I ilke that it is a toffee one, black tea has the most caffine, then it tapers off as you go down the list, green tea is next, white tea, and red tea has no caffine at all. there isn't any to begind with, if you are looking for it at the store, instead of reading labels, it is the Roobius. It comes in a couple of flavors, it is good, my DM is off caffine and she loves it. I require caffine so I don't drink it that often.

Hubby gets ringing in his ears if he has to much caffine. So we buy the folgers decaf or the folgers one that is half and half.
