Does anyone know anything about legitimate work at home opportunities?

I bit on one of those WAH ads in a magazine years ago. For $30 all I got was a few listings of people who were hiring and most of them in our area had gone out of business long before. It's very risky now. I would never send money again.

I did a project for a non-profit a few years ago checking out work-at-home jobs--and they WERE 99.9% scams-----
Mystery shopping cos. that are real DO NOT charge you to get a job, and NEVER buy one of those phony lists supposedly of companies hiring......phony listings! ONE listing was real out of 300--the poor companies listing got bombarded with calls and most of them did not even HIRE mystery shoppers!
Medical transcription training--they get your money, then you are out the money and usually NO JOB at the end.....
If it is real, they do NOT ask for money up front. I used to make and sell LOTS of jewelry in high-end boutiques--
I fell for one of those scams during off-season. NONE of my jewelry "passed" inspection, yet my costume jewelry pieces routinely sold for up to $100 in the 60s!
I worked in a sewing factory briefly--high end clothes and only a .001 % reject rate on what I sewed, yet NONE of my clothes "passed" inspection when sewing aprons and baby clothes for the thieves and pirates!
Watch out!
