I am now retired, but have made many of my uniforms (old white dress type in the 70s) and scrubs in recent years prior to retirement.
I used a poly-cotton blend so they would not be wrinkled all day and uniform patterns are now readily available anywhere that sells patterns. Many locations now sell really cute uniform fabric - not so 'back in the day'!

I made all my scrubs for work- now I don't have to wear them, but I miss them! I had them for every season and holiday- the patients loved to see them. Also made the pants, too. I have downstairs( just couldn't get rid of them) over 20 pairs of pants, and 43 tops.

Nope no more clothes sewing for me! Just ordered a nice one from Uniform City for 12$ 100% cotton cool and comf not worth my time to do. Takes away too much quilting time.

I've made all my scrub tops for the last 9 years (pants are no fun in my opinion). I use quilting cotton, gives me an excuse to go to the LQS! I add an extra pocket and a tab across the v-neck to hang my badge on, I'm so addicted to these little changes, that now that my hospital is going to go to all departments wearing a specific color, I had to order material from Landau (a scrub manufacturer) and have to make new tops! Don't know what I'm gonna do with all my old ones......................
