You're right about the newer generation of quilter's thou - I was 'out' of quilting for about 10 yrs., & now there are SO MANY new techniques & quilters "toys" out there, I don't know how to even use them.quote]

I need a class on new techniques and patterns. I like the older patterns but the new techniques are so fantastic.

OHHH the ole bones lately: True, True and True: Old Age is NO fun but u know that I have so much fun doing my quilts. I put my Christian radio station on and go to town (of course several hours later) oh the ole Arthur has me again. Try to ignore the pain and go on and get excited about the next GREAT IDEA quilt I ever had::

But now at 77, EVERYTHING seems to be more difficult & take longer . It's 'ain't easy getting old!!! :XD:

Have a blessed day & may all your quilts be filled w/love.

I also am almost 77 (Oct) and believe me EVERYTHING takes longer....LOL

God Bless you Nanjun: I will be 73 next month and find myself trying to do like I did even 10 yrs ago. (Doesn't work well). Pray that I will still be Quilting at 85. May all your days be happy ones:::

I am doing easier quilts as I get older- 62 now. I don't like the precut pieces because of all the stuff I have read about them not being accurate or having ragged edges sometimes, so I just keep plugging along with my stash and my scraps. I cut a little, sew a little and press a little, so as not to "overuse" and one part of my body. I don't want to give myself carpal tunnel or something.

Honey, my back gives out more quickly, my feet swell to look like small loaves of bread, my eyes ache, and my fingers tingle from holding the rotary cutter, and I've got to run to the bathroom more frequently. So I just take more breaks (ON HERE) and then forget to get back to it. Such is life. Don't give up. Just don't make any promises and when the project is done, it's done. :o)

Do while others are airing out their age, I'll be 71 on Monday. Ho-hum.
