My Bob used to tell me that the best thing he makes for dinner is "Reservations."

If it's meat on the grill, yes.

We'll be married 30 in Sept. When dating he had me over for supper. He had pork chops boiling in water, instant mashed potatoes and canned corn. Everything was way over cooked. Nothing has changed. And when I tell him that it's his turn to cook supper...he calls our local pizza place. Even if he can't cook - he's still a keeper.

Yes, he can cook. Not that often though.

My husband does all the grilling - which we do alot of from about March - October - living in S FL it's so nice!! :0) and he'll make soup from time to time. Never cleans up after himself though :(. I love to cook though and don't really mind it... we rarely go out to eat - but when we do we both enjoy it so much.

When DH retired, he asked if he could do the cooking. I've never looked back. I don't mind if we have chicken and peas for 7 days in a row if I'm not shopping for it or cooking it!

The toughest thing for him has been cooking with my acid reflux in mind, because there are so many things that I can't eat. I had to post a list of them on his work table. Hloves freshly ground black pepper on EVERYTHING. I think he has FINALLY remembered that he shouldn't put it on my food. I love it, but it does a real job on me.

My husband loves to cook and he is good at it. My mother didn't raise a fool so I let him. He also cleans up the kitchen and does dishes. He gets off work 2 hours before I do so supper is waiting for me when I get home. It's great!
