So glad you got King back. The people that found him must have been pet lovers. What a wonderful thing for them to drive him home.

He looks like our dog Shadow, that passed away from cancer 1 1/2 yrs ago. She liked to run away as a puppy when my daughter owned her. When we got her we spoiled her rotten. We would sit on the front porch with her on a leash. She enjoyed that. When someone left one of the two gates open, she would go to the porch and sit and wait for us to come and get her. She never ran away again.

Since all my dear Dobies have gone on to the Rainbow Bridge, I gave my neighbor a couple of leashes and chains for his pit bull, one who got out frequently. One day a strange man brought back "my" dog Kurt, turned out that I had forgotten to take off the tags that gave dog's name and address. Neighbor thanked me, took the tags off for me and said he'd get new ones for his dog, who was a real sweetie. Finally gave it back to original owner who had really missed it, since it was not mean enough for a guard dog.

This is why all five of my dogs have both tags on their collars and microchips....all anybody would have to do is open their car door with an inviting look on their faces and most of them would love the ride....though not sure if anybody would invite the two Pit Bulls (babies though they are) for a ride!

LOL. Very nice of that lady to call and bring him home, and it's a good thing you have ID on him.

I have a pit also. That would be funny. We would have to go to the store to pick up our dogs....

    What a funny boy!
I had a dog that loved to ride in the car so much she wouldn't get out until you 'took' her someplace. can't tell you how many times we backed down the driveway then drove back up, so she'd get out!

I always warn anyone who comes to keep check of their open car door. My lab loves to jump in :)
