I like reading the other stories too.
Both daughters had horses when they were young, one still has 6 horses, 3 dogs and a cat. She is the Vet Tech.
The other daughter can't pass by a pet shop without going in and playing with the animals for an hour. She also has 2 dogs and a cat, 2 birds, 1 ferret. I have 4 rug rats, 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 goldfish. lol

We had a shepard-collie mix once that was raised by a Siamese cat when the mother deserted the pups. The cat would shove them out of the doghouse each day and lead them around our house into the sunshine and bathe them. They all learned to wash their paws after every meal as well as fight with their front paws just like a cat. However, they never learned to hiss or howl in a proper cat manner.
