Default dolls 97 and 98 for VERY sick kids.....

Almost to the 100 mark, then will take a couple weeks break. 92 dolls have found a home, so 6 and soon 7 will be hanging out in my spare room, till a child is discovered that needs one. All the dolls are free and individually made for kids with devestating health issues. Doll 97 (the one in orange and white /white nightgown with orange ruffle on hat) went out today to a post office clerk who has 5 kids (including a set of twins)...one child is almost 4 or 5 and either cannot walk yet or has problems trying to walk. She has to be taken up to San Fran to receive care of specialists for the problem. The father will receive his daughters doll for her when the family returns tomorrow, as I left it in charge of the postmaster today. I hope she will like it Doll 99 I hope will get finished tonight and over the next couple of days I will make doll 100 which will be a boy doll. (doll 96 is a boy also so he will have a guy friend to hang out with till he along with the girls find the right home. I hope you enjoy seeing them all. These are the 22 inch high dolls and the girls turn upside down to become a sleepy faced doll. My dolls are always free.

Take care and stay well. Remember if you know of a child with big-time medical issues, I will find a way to get the doll to them. If I have two many in need, I will have to just supply as time and money allows, as I am the only one sewing and stuffing the dolls right now and each takes a minimum of 12 hours (the girls more then the guys)...so when I can I build up a tiny surplus.

Thanks for caring for me and my dolls.

thanks for the reply dear tngal22. I am glad I am able to do it for the kids. I have health issues, but can handle this job so far.

    God Bless.

I just love those dolls. You are so good to do this. I made a bunch of cabbage patch dolls a long time ago for missionaries' kids. but not to this perfection. bless you so much.

Thanks so much for all those replies. I finished doll 99 late last night, and if all goes well, might get to do doll boy and number 100 today (tonight?) since I found I have street clothes to use for him...so mainly it is the stuffing of him, putting on his hat, doing the two faces and dressing him. I'll send a picture when it all happens. I feel like a celebration is in order when he gets done. So now I'll gather a piece of chocolate, a handful of frito's and juice or a coke and drink a toast to the dolls and the sweet little ones that get them. Want to join me? (Smiling at my silly self) God Bless All. I forgot to mention, that now with each doll, goes a 'birth certificate' to fill out, plus a short story I wrote on behalf of the doll, that a church friend put in Calligraphy format. I put them both together into a white envelope. Take care out there, all of you.

What a great thing you are doing for the kids. I'm sure every one is well loved by the little girl or boy. It's people like you that show that people really do care. Thank you so much.
