This San Antonio quilter wishes for the 4 seasons.....then summer would be short. Seriously - as a displaced Yankee I have not acclimated to Texas weather and hate our summers --- only good that comes out of it is I am inside all the time quilting in the AC! Don't even get the mail if DH is home.

Hot here in east Texas too! The town six miles away got a storm and rained for an hour straight...not a drop here in ever so long. My trees are dying. I'd just like to get past August and most of September. I've heard people talk about Winter, saying it's gonna be a rough one. I've been piling up wood anad prayin'.

While it has been very nice in the San Francisco Bay Area this summer (just a couple of really "hot" days)---I am always more than ready for winter!

Here is my thought on this, I hate the heat, I am grumpy when I am hot. I do not want to go outside when its hot. Even nights are hot here. I hate that my electric bill is so high during the summer. To be honest I guess truthfully I am not a summer person. I love snow. I love the cold. I just wish I lived somewhere that does snow, and has seasons. And don't ask why I live here, because if I had my choice we would be moving as soon as it got cooler. But..DH loves it hot. And my kids and grandkids are all here now too. So here I am living here still grumbling : )

I am so ready for winter : )

Summer happens to be my LEAST favorite season, and I'm always glad when autumn rolls around and then comes the winter - fabulous. Summer is the season I have to stay indoors with the air conditioner - can't breathe in the summer soup (I have COPD) Can't go out in the sun ( I have Lupus) I do enjoy looking out of the window at the green grass and leaves and the flowers - but you couldn't get me out there on a bet!!! And I live in the North where it can get mighty cold and snowy - but I love that!

Yeah, with you -- we are a little cooler but with much more humidity -- of course, I will complain when the cold weather comes too!

I'm so ready for cooler weather too, but looks like we're in for another couple of months of heat! I just wish it would rain. We're so dry that the ground in our yard has huge cracks.
