Our children have never "trick or treated" we would usually find something else to do or go to a "Harvest Festival" at the church or something!

The journalist's would have us believe that all the world hates us. It is so nice to hear proof that all the world is after all, people doing their best in an unusual time and finding that we are pretty much like them, just striving to get along and raise our children and find a little fun in life.

I really enjoyed reading your story as it reminded me of all the wonderful vacations my family took together.
When we were first married my husband and I drove from California to NY.
Then we took a train ride of MY to AZ a couple of years ago.
Along with all of the other trips to the ocean, mountains, Niagara Falls, Montreal, etc.
Thank you for sharing, it stirred a lot of wonderful memories.
Now I have to go look for my photo albums!

thanks for sharing your story. I really miss California. I grew up by sea world in san diego. I got to spend my summers with relative from my stepmom in Europe. One of my favorite places was the Rhein Falls in Switzerland and the beautiful alps on the way to Austria. I was treated great all over Europe ( it was the 60's and 70's) In america most people are helpful and kind too. We are a retired military family so we are difinetly proud to be americans. We are glad your experiences here were good ones. We have lived in Hawaii and places both on the east and west coast. So right now we are glad to just be settled down and be in one place now.
