My parents always had hummers Upstate New York. Dad sold the farm I hope new owners are still feeding them.
    Yours are great.

That worries me too. We had 100's at our last home too. I worried about them after we moved.

Beautiful pictures! I love hummers. We get a few here who claim the feeder as their own. It's funny to see these little bitty birds sitting on a branch above the feeder, then comes another one and the one on the branch comes down with a fierce furry to chase him off..

I love hummingbirds. I get one or two. I have put out the sugar water but never see any at the feeder. I am better with keeping the small song birds, woodpeckers and cardinals.

    your feeder tree is cute.

Thank you. My husband made it for us. We use two feeder poles and sometimes the third one. I keep having him put more cross bars with hooks on them. It is busy when they are here. Really quiet when they leave.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT HUMMINGBIRDS, BUT BIRDS IN GENERAL. VERY FUNNY. MY DAUGHTER HAS MANY MANY REGULAR BIRD FEEDERS . THEY HAVE TO FILL THEM ABOUT TWICE A DAY. SHE SAID WHEN SHE GOT UP THE OTHER MORNING THE FEEDERS WERE ALL EMPTY AND THE BIRDS WERE ALL LINED UP ON THE FEEDERS LOOKING IN HER WINDOW ,LIKE IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU GOT UP. SHE SAID SHE COULD JUST PICTURE THEM WITH ONE OF THEIR LITTLE FEET PROPT UP ON THEIR HIP SAYING THAT.

Your birds sound like my outdoor cats. If I don't get out there, I look up from my recliner and see faces lined up at the windows. I love your hummingbirds Dorothy. This year I am hanging mine out too. I only have a few by my front porch so I can watch them when I sit out or from the window. Thanks for sharing.

This is DSB giving Mousie a ride. I love this cartoon. Both are board members.

I love them. So sweet. I don't get them but I do feed lots of goldfinch, nuthatch and many others.
