Hello, welcome to the Quiltingboard. Do you come to this area? Would love to meet you. I am glad you like the hummingbird photos. I had fun doing this post. This post was the first time I really had lots of people to enjoy the birds with. I am hoping to have a new camera by the season 2011. Right now I can take only a few photos and I have to charge the battery. Poor camera is just all used up. If your here during migration I will be happy to let you help me take care of the birds.
Thanks for dropping in, I enjoyed it.

We do go over to Adamsville About once a year. Would love to meet a quilter over there. I some times take off by my self and try to find quilt shops. Walmarts over there have material. Here they don't. We one time took off and found one down a road that I thought we were going thru people's private field. That was so coo. When we got there it was closed. I do want to go back.

I live in Huntingdon, the Walmarts around here no longer have fabric. There is a little quilt shop in Booneville, MS you might want to visit next time in TN. Where is the shop you are talking about? would love to visit it.......

Wow do you ever have/had a lot of hummingbirds! So cute!
I only hang out one feeder for the summer but always have sugar water inside. We get so many in the month of August.
They were a little late with their arrival this year, about mid-May.

How do you get so many hummers at one time. Where we are the hummers only allow one at the feeder at a time. seems they are so agressive and chase each other away.

Dorothy, I put my hummingbird feeder out and within an hour I had a tiny visitor. So nice to see them again. When will you put your feeders out?

Dorothy, those are so neat! Have you seen the live hummingbird nest cams? There are two, here is the link to one. You can see the mom on her nest, and over the next weeks can watch the eggs hatch, and the babies grow and fledge. It is so cool. I watched one last year and was hooked. If you go to the top of the screen and click on "Wildlife cams", you can see lots of other animals & birds too.

The hummers have returned to RI. I had 3 today. They are about 2 weeks late this year. We have had a cold spring.
