I work the weekends and really miss spending time with my DH. During the week he works long hours and we don't see a lot of each other either.
His job is giving him a LOT of stress. Which he tries to keep it outside the home, but it is affecting him - and me.

I'm only working part time, but need a full time job. So today instead of quilting I am:
Doing household chores, job hunting and wishing the sun was out like it was all weekend while I was at work and not able to enjoy it. Don't think I'll be quilting any today and maybe not even tomorrow. My other day off this week I will be babysitting so no quilting then either.

On a positive note - we did have the DD and DIL over for dinner Sat eve which was nice, the snow is all gone (Until Wed) and I did see 2 Robins yesterday on my way to work!

I'd love to have a long arm so I could stay home, quilt for others and make money. DH wants me to do that too, but right now we can't afford the machine.

Sorry for the drag down, but keep me in your thoughts, hopefully today will turn out to be a GREAT day. No matter what I know that God in is control.

I sympathize, being unemployed myself and deciding whether I'd like a sewing machine or to be able to pay another month of rent.

But you know, today may get better and something unexpected and wonderful may happen! And if not today, then know you're doing the right thing by getting things done. That way, when something good does pop up, you'll be all prepared for it.

Have you considered applying for a microloan to buy the longarm? Microloans are much different than regular loans. You might research them on the web. They do exist in the US and not just for third-world countries.

You might also consider contacting your local SBDC (Small Business Development Center) for help on this. They're free, and they can tell you what other kind of help is out there, too.

Seeing the Robins means spring is on it's way to your area. Things will get better, just hang in there and keep your chin up.

I'm thinking about you. Sending positive vibes your way for a new job that will pay for a new long arm.

Even though you are down, you still know that GOD is in control. Wouldn't it be nice if once in while we could have a little hint to what is next? I hope your day gets better.

My better half and I have to live separate as he can't make the money in Ut. that he can in Nv. but we chose to buy our house in Ut as thats where we want to retire. We usually go 2 weeks in between seeing each other. The other day it was getting to me and I cried my eyes out, then kept telling myself "this to shall pass", so I am hoping the same for you...This To Shall Pass & better things are ahead.
    Sending quilty hugs.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and hugs. The day turned out better than I thought it would. Nothing special, no new job, but did apply for one and am still looking. Laundry is done and house is clean and I trimmed my hair again. (Oh, the blessings of being able to cut my own hair!)

    Have a great night!
