I went from 7 bedrooms to 4..and I miss the "stuff" I sold! I am thinking I can do it again when the market gets better..say in 10 years hopefully. It is hard to do if you are avid collectors like we were. I still have a lot of overnight company (kids and grandkids) so need all the rooms. I have one for my mother who is now almost 94 .. she can't sleep over anymore so I could lose one room or make it a fantastic sewing space..hmmmmm

Both of my daughters moved back in with me after they left, they still had their own rooms. I think a hide a bed would discourage them from wanting to stay. We have one and they are not real comfortable I really liked my kids being there again.

You know, the more I think about it the more I would miss all the space.....but, getting rid of "stuff" sounds wonderful!!! I only wish we didn't have the steps, but at this point, though difficult, we can still do the steps. We really don't have the ability to make a first floor bedroom as the house is s very open concept floor plan. You guys have really made me re-think things.....thanks for all the great input!
