Default Downton Abbey - First Episode Season Six

Great episode, but I thought they resolved the blackmail issue with Lady Mary a little quickly. Very good start to the final season overall.

Yes, I agree....a very good start to the final season. Did you happen to watch the 1 hour program before the first episode? They mentioned that Season 6 is all about "resolutions" to all that has happened in the prior 5 seasons! I can't wait for next week!

I am late to the Downton party, so watching the special presentations was helpful. It has made to want to watch the earlier seasons. I really started watching in Season 5. So I missed out on a lot.

Love Downton Abbey! I'm so sad to see it go ... looking forward to the rest of the series.

i think it's a great start, too... but it moved very quickly overall... hard to absorb what was happening

Yes I agree about the blackmail settlement. I wonder if there will still be an issue with it later. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up! I hope Edith ends up with a happy ending.

I watched the last episodes online. So sad to see it go. But there is always something good on Masterpiece.

Watched it and will watch the rerun on demand......also watched the pre-program....kind of strange to see the
"characters" in "real life"--- I must say, some were more attractive in character. Also watched the story of the actual castle afterwards..very interesting...love the history of England......so grand.......let's see, what's coming back again soon!

My dear, dear hubby actually came in and tried to talk to me about 5 minutes into the program. First time in 32 years I've told him to be quiet!
