This has actually been going on for several years in different parts of the country. It seems to go in cycles.

My grandson was actually telling us about this this past weekend, kids do not know how dangerous this could be to them! He is about to turn 13 in 2 days!! He said the internet has all kinds of bomb instructions!

Good heavens. I make soap, which involves mixing lye (Drano) and water and I can tell you it gets HOT fast! In a closed bottle, there would most definitely be an explosion. The only thing more dangerous would be a glass jar. I am continually amazed at how far some people will go to hurt someone else just for kicks.

I always pick up bottles in the morning while walking my dog in the park. This is something to watch out for for sure.

Oh MY!! What next? Ya know, I really worry about the world my grandchildren will grow up in. Now we can't pick up trash without the threat of an explosion. What next?

This has been common for over 40 years, when I was a kid the neighbor boys made them, not to drop off somewhere but to watch explode now kids throw then out and someone could get hurt.

Thanks for the heads up. Remember the good old days when we didn't have to worry about people trying to blow us up?
