Drinks

mostly water with meals, no milk, no soda. I like unsweetened, flavored seltzer half and half with fruit juice. Soda is too darn sweet!! 10 teaspoons of sugar per can!! wow. Can't stand the taste of diet soda.
We are blessed to have wonderful well water here on our land. Best I have ever tasted.

it's funny, when we moved to Colorado I'd been drinking caffiene free sodas. When i quit, it took me about six months not to miss them!!! there must be something besides caffiene in them that is addicting!!

Sparkling water (soda water) is my drink of choice. I buy the big bottles and have one by the bed, one in the sewing room, one in the car, one at my desk... my DH cant understand why I dont keep it in the fridge, but I like it at room temperature.
In addition to that, I generally have a milky coffee with breakfast and, where I used to have a beer after work, I try to, most days, have a herbal tea instead. (and yes I notice it on my wasitline) At parties I love sparkling white wine :-)
I never ever drink Coke or Fanta or similar things with heaps of sugar because I believe that an excess of refined sugar is very very unhealthy and that our bodies did not evolve to deal with that on an ongoing basis. I think that lots of the modern diseases we are seeing now will in time be shown to be caused at least in part by all the sugar we consume. Even juice is not something I would have undiluted- one class of apple juice has the sugar of six apples, and none of the fibre. Most of us could not even swallow six apples, yet we drink the juice and think it is great.....
As someone else said, I have a feeling that diet versions of the popular drinks will be proven in time to have more bad stuff in them than we understand now. I have spent time being addicted to Coke Zero, but I am free of it now and don't even like the taste anymore, thankfully.

Other than fabric, my one addiction (& yes, I do mean addiction)? Dr. Pepper. Not diet... the hard stuff... LOL! In a can... not ice cold but not room temp either (I used to have a friend who drank only room temp Pepsi... ugh!). I used to drink nothing but Pepsi but about 20 years ago I switched over to DP & now that's it. I try to force myself to drink some water everyday but my weaknees is my pop. I've tried to quit it but the headaches are just too brutal. Does my family give me static about my addiction? All the time. But I'm a grown-up woman & I'm fully aware of what I'm doing. Now, I see that my canis empty, so if you'll excuse me...
