Duplicate Tools
Are there any tools that you like to have more than one of?
and why?
I usually need duplicates of some of the following because I tend to misplace the other ones -
Seam rippers
Hand sewing needles
Thimbles
Scissors
Beeswas - I just started using it on the thread ends to make threading the needles easier - what took me so long?
I have machines at opposite sides of a room - so it would be nice to have "sets" of needed items at both locations.
Have any of you made duplicate kits/cases for some of those items?
One of the ladies on our quilting group had a tiny little "kit" that held a bobbin of thread, her needles, a thimble, and a tiny scissor.

Duplicates of all my rulers except some specialty rulers. Notions I say triple or more of the same items. I know I have over a dozen seam rippers, scissors, and about six rotary cutters. Lots of mats.

Regular ironing board and one of those iron on one side, cut on the other side by my sewing machine for certain projects....Oh my yes....I do have duplicates.

Lots of duplicates in my room, scissors, rippers, etc. I keep one general box packed for class that stays in the class bag. Round turning cutting mat and a square turning cutting mat.
Lots of duplicate size rulers including two 20 1/2 inch square up ones. Some are just different brands that I like better.
Oh and I sometimes buy two kits if I really like the pattern and fabrics.

I have multiples of several items, mostly rulers and rotary cutters. I have so many sew days because my sewing room is sooo small. I have duplicates in my van so I don't have to unload and reload it every time I go to a sew day. I have two machines that also stay in my van, just in case.
