Is NZ earthquake country? I haven't heard of them having any before....now us California nuts are use to them. Not that we like them any better. I will be praying for them too.

Christchurch suffered a massive earthquake in September 2010.
THEY ARE SAYING THIS IS AN AFTERSHOCK!!!
The beautiful Cathedral in central Christchurch has been destroyed. The spire is sitting askew on top of the rubble of the cathedral. The airport has been damaged, the hospital is still operating, dozens of people are still trapped in office buildings and hotels.

Just watched NZ quake devastation and an aftershock on YouTube. What a heartbreak! Many people injured and fatalities. Praying for them all. Hope our QB brothers and sisters let us know how they are and what we can do to help.

I have friends in Christchurch I am trying to get hold of them right now but the lines are down and the cell phone number keeps saying the system is busy. I hope all is well and it is not as bad as they say it could be.

Last time nobody was injured but this time looks way worse......

17 people have been confirmed dead.

Please pray for those that are trapped, and for the rescuers.

International assistance has been offered by Australia. From what I understand the offer has been accepted.

Specially trained dogs are on their way to search for survivors and for the deceased.

My family in Christchurch are all okay. Shaken but alive.

Very very tragic situation. There is so much devastation.

40 specialised personnel are on their way from NSW. Please don't try to phone NZ at this time as there are only limited number of lines. People are being advised to text rather than ring.
