A very big thank you to you all for your concern, if you Google 'Christchurch Press' our local news paper you can see all the pictures of the earthquakes damage, it is heartbreaking.

Glad that your're ok Gal. We still have no power or water so have popped into mum's place to pick up a couple of thermos filled with boiling water to make a cuppa. We are hopeful of getting the power on soon as they are working in our area. We have been so lucky - there are several houses in our street that have completely sunk in one corner, or have huge cracks right up the walls.

I'm feeling better today as my precious Noddy (the beauty in my avatar) was missing since the earthquake, but he has now come home.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and well wishes. We all appreciate them.

So glad to hear you are all ok Mama, we have been hit with more after shocks and that big one last night really shook us without warning, my nerves are about 'shot' our house being wooden has rattled with every tremour, up to 90 after shocks in all diffent places within the Cant plains, so the papers said this morning and 100,000 homes need repairs! We have had power on and off all the time you just can't rely on it staying on when you are trying to cook something and no power during the night when that big one went through, very scary! I was trying to relax reading a book, there was a bang the house started shaking and the power went off and that is just an aftershock! I thought I would give an up date as our internet keeps going off as well, so while it is on I quickly wrote this.

Thank you for keeping us updated Gal and Mama. I know a lot of us have been worrying about you and others having to deal with the earthquake and aftershocks. Atleast if we see you on the board we know you are alright. (((((HUGS))))) to you all.

Which big aftershock are you talking about Gal? Last night was a shocker with two at 5.4 and about 3 others between 4 and 5... oh my shattered nerves!! We have power as at 5pm last night (Mon) but we are still without water supply. There is now several porta-loos in the street for us to use as the call comes.. so now I have no nerves, and no dignity..

But, I do have my sense of humour!

So glad to hear you all are hanging in there. So sorry you have to go through it all. Hopefully the aftershocks will lessen in intensity soon. {{{HUGS}}}

We are watching for reports of the quake in NZ.
I have friends just outside Christchurch and can't contact them. Will keep you all posted with any news.
An earthquake is never just a shake, I will keep them in my prayers.
