I did this with my kindergarten and pre-K students each year when I taught, using white glue and water. I liked that mixture because if they put it in their mouths, it was not harmful. Sometimes we put pieces of colored tissue paper on them also. The hardest part was having to wait till they dried - the kids would be so excited about their eggs. I finally learned to do them on a Friday afternoon. That way they had all weekend to dry and NO ONE was absent on the following Monday! LOL

Yep, I also use sugar water when I make cheese cloth ghost for Halloween.
